Description

This is a fully custom 1989 Harley Davidson softail springer. The only parts original on this bike are the frame & springer front end. Bike was completely stripped down to frame & rebuilt.-Starting with the new drivetrain, new chrome s&s engine cases fully built with s&s internals, torque cam & a 114” top end. On such a light bike this motor is a monster. For easy access to the pushrods we also installed JIMS screw style pushrod tubes. So no more annoying lock keepers installed with a flat head screwdriver. S&S super E with s&s manifold. Very loud 1 3/4 drag pipes, Ultima electronic ignition & coil. Fully rebuilt transmission with 6 speed overdrive gear set, new shift forks & slider gear installed. While trans was apart had whole trans case fully polished. To put all the power to the ground we upgraded to a 8 spring extra plate cross hatched clutch, compensater elimination gear & 530 chain drive conversion. To crank this motor over we upgraded to a 2.4kw all chrome starter with push button solenoid. So all you do is turn the key, located on the top motor mount, crank the gas 2 pumps & push the starter solenoid button. Cranks fast & starts every time. New steering neck bearings installed. Front & rear wheels were replaced with matching 5.00 tires & black spoked rims. Both wheels are the same meaning you can actually do a tire rotation on a bike with just a swap of the brake rotor & sprocket. No front brake installed but will come with springer front brake mount. So to stop this bike we upgraded to a 6 piston JakeBrake rear caliper & thicker black rear rotor. Stops this bike very quiet & fast. The oil tank under the seat is a 3qt chrome circle tank with battery box cut out. The seat is a solo spring seat with multiscross & skull stitching. New chrome 1”+ forward controls installed for look & comfort. Under the bike is new chrome progressive softail shocks, bike is a lot more comfortable then she looks. The gas tank was a stock frisco tank that we cut the sides out of & hand made steel inserts for that old tracker knee cut out look. Just over 2.0 gallons. The rear fender has a custom made 1/4” raised mowhawk down the middle. 5” risers & 10” chrome apes to finish off the bobber look & black caged headlight. I ride this bike every weekend & it is 100% a blast to ride & gets nothing but attention. Only issues with bike is Previously this month the primary started leaking oil & the front rim disagreed with a pot hole & now has a 40mph wobble. Other than that this bike is awesome.
