This is Gorgeous Antique Mabie, Todd Co. Fountain Pen Made in New York. The pen is a lever filler fountain pen with a Mabie, Todd nib with a screw on cap and a pocket clip.  The pen nib is marked:  MABIE TODD & CO. N.Y. -1-.  The pen is marked around the bottom rim:  "SWAN PEN" MABIE, TODD & CO. NEW YORK, MADE IN U.S.A.
The pen measures 4-5/8 inches long with the cap on including the ring on top. With the cap off the pen measures 3-7/8 inches from the end to the tip of the nib.  This pen has been well cared for; other than the ring on the top, I had to hunt with a jewelers loop to find any signs of wear on the gold fill.  Based on my scratch test, the pen is probably 12-14K gold-filled. This is a classic style with the straight polished and grooved lines. Simple and Beautiful!

Condition:
1.  I tested the lever and it flips up fine and snaps back into place.
2.  The tines look aligned and in good shape.
3. There are minor scratches from use, that can be buffed out if you wish.
4. The pen has not been restored.  In cleaning the nib, I noticed the ink that came off was blue.  It appears the last ink used in the pen was blue.
5. With the exception of the ring on top, the only wear I could find on the gold fill was a tiny bit at the rim near the nib. The ring on top of the pen has the gold very worn; possibly, it will buff out.
6. There is a line in the metal on the backside of the ball on the pocket clip.  This is probably original, but wanted to mention it.
