The BAOER 388 fountain pen is one of the nicer pens coming from China.
It has what I would call a medium nib and writes very smoothly and looks great.
Another great pen to add to your collection.
If you are interested in fountain pens or just getting started in them and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is a great pen to start with.
Each fountain pen comes with five ink cartridges, or if you prefer you can use the included ink converter, allowing you to immediately start using your new pen.
Pen comes with ink converter installed on the nib. To use the ink cartridges, you will have to remove the ink converter and then install the ink cartridge into the
nib making sure that you use enough pressure to break the seal on the ink cartridge. Ink should start flowing after a minute or two.
Fountain pens were designed to be used. They can dry out if not used for a day or two. If they stop working remove the ink cartridge and flush the pen out with some water.
Do not use hot water as this can damage the nib. Re install the cartridge and then try the pen.
I would even suggest running some water through the nib cleaning the pen before installing an ink cartridge. This will remove any thing that may have been left in the pen from manufacturing.
