Here’s a beautiful Diamond Medal fountain pen in red & black mottled pattern with a medium 14k #2 nib. This full length pen has a fairly slender girth. Made in Chicago, Illinois. Appears to be celluloid. Very attractive pattern and gold trim. Pen shows age related wear with a few small marks, nicks and dings (large chip near end of barrel…pictured). Excellent barrel imprint. Cap personalized with the name “C. R. Harris”. Cap screws on and off well and posts nicely. New ink sac installed. Lever filling system works well. Gold trim is in nice condition showing some wear. Cap clip is solid. Nice wide cap band. Please see pictures for more details on exterior condition.
The #2 14k Gold Medal nib offers a smooth medium line with some very mild flex. Please see the sample writing in pictures. This pen measures approximately 5 3/8 inches (136mm) in length capped. A very nice Diamond Medal flattop with a good nib.
