    a RARE variety of
    Salz Bros 1920's Peter Pan miniature fountain pen with solid 14K gold trim & original 14K nib
    .
    The piece is marked on the barrel with
    PETER PAN SALZ BROS, INC NY
    , on the fixed jump ring at the top with
    14K
    and on the nib with
    PETER PAN 14K
    .  The top cap, jump ring, barrel ring and nib are all 14K gold.  The gold has been professionally tested and is guaranteed to be solid 14K gold. The body is the early form & is made of hard rubber.  It is an eyedropper filler type.  The ink is droppered into place in the tiny compartment below the nib and the nib section screws into place to hold it securely.  This tiny piece dates from the 1920's.  Many different versions were made, but the great part about this one is the 14K trim.  They were generally gold filled with only a solid gold nib.
    The pen is a mere 2 1/2 inches long from the top of the fixed jump ring to the bottom when capped.  It would have been worn around the neck on a chain, or perhaps a narrow velvet ribbon.
    The pieces in good pre-owned condition with light scratches and tiny dings commensurate with age, but no damage.
